Weaving historical tablet-woven bands is often a challenge, starting with finding information and pattern instructions.

A little more about my instructions:
These are instructions that I use for my own weaving. Accordingly, they were written for me, and I have not “translated” them into a format that everyone can easily follow.
For this reason, they are not suitable for beginners. You should also already be familiar with the particular technique before working from my instructions. I do not explain how the technique works or how each step is done; the instructions are based on an existing understanding of the technique.
For some of the instructions (flottation and Stippengewebe), this means that you will only see the colours and no turning directions, because these are not necessary once you understand the technique.
I know how S and Z positioning works, but I almost always manage to write it down incorrectly. This means that the pattern may sometimes appear on the reverse side. Also, the setup is only very rarely identical to the starting position, so you will have to work out for yourself what is correct.
I often read my patterns from top to bottom. More and more of my instructions now include row numbers, so that it is clear in which direction the pattern is meant to be read.
