Ein broschiertes Band aus dem Gräberfeld Ladoga / Russland
Über dieses Band ist nicht viel bekannt. Es stammt aus dem Gräberfeld aus Ladoga, leider weiß man weder das Grab, noch kennt man eine Datierung.
Anhand von ähnlichen finnischen Funden würde ich es ins 10./11. Jhd. datieren.
In der Veröffentlichung findet man jedoch eine ausführliche Analyse des Bandes.
Not much is known about this band. It comes from the Ladoga burial ground, but unfortunately neither the grave nor the date is known.
Based on similar Finnish finds, I would date it to the 10th/11th century.
Laut Musterskizze aus dem Buch wurde die Borte broschiert und mit 30 Brettchen gewebt, die abwechselnd S und Z aufgezogen sind. Davon an jeder Seite jeweils 3 Randbrettchen und 24 Brettchen im broschierten Musterbereich.
Das Muster ist sehr einfach: ein Zickzack Muster, das im ersten Augenblick wie ein Köpermuster wirkt. Hier wird der Broschierfaden (Goldlahn) abwechselnd über 3 Brettchen broschiert und dann unter ein Brettchen gehoben. Der Rapport ist 23 Zeilen lang. Da die Anleitung im Buch veröffentlich ist, kann ich es jetzt hier nicht veröffentlichen.
According to the pattern sketch in the book, the band was brocaded and woven with 30 tablets that are alternately S and Z threaded. There are 3 border tablets on each side and 24 tablets in the brocaded pattern area.
The pattern is very simple: a zigzag pattern that looks like a twill pattern at first glance. The brocading thread (spun gold) is brocaded alternately over 3 tablets and then lifted under a tablet.The rapport is 33 lines long. As the pattern is published in the book, I cannot publish it here now.
Ich habe das Muster hier mit 30 Brettchen 20/2 Wolle nachgearbeitet und es ist mit 2,7 cm viel zu breit. Das Original wurde aus Seide (wahrscheinlich rot) gewebt und war mit 0,8 cm Breite ein sehr schmales Band.
